CDL Automatic restriction

Can a CDL driver with an automatic transmission restriction on their CDL, drive an auto-shift transmission without getting in trouble? Essentially is an auto shift considered an automatic or manual. Thank you, Kevin

  Hi Kevin,

  I know it's been a while since you asked this question.

  But the answer is yes! An automated manual transmission (AMT) qualifies as an automatic for licensing purposes.
